This spring’s Lunch and Learn lineup is nearly complete.  Postdoc Lunch and Learns are designed to give postdocs the opportunity to learn new skills or concepts to help them to successfully find a job and be more competitive on the job market.

January kicks off with a Lunch and Learn specifically on project management for researchers. This workshop will introduce a few tools that will help researchers manage projects and personnel in their labs.

February features a 2-part Lunch and Learn series on how to use PowerNotes for research and writing projects. PowerNotes is an app that allows users to cut & paste, cite, and organize artifacts from digital sources with the click of a mouse and is provided to students, faculty, staff and postdocs at no cost.

Also kicking off in February, we’ll have a 4-part series of workshops focused on writing skills, led by the ASU Writing Center.  This will include information on how to develop good writing habits, polish your writing and get published, as well as on writing groups and peer reviewThis series starts on February 18.

A variety of other topics will also be presented, including how to patent your research discoveries, an intro to the ASU Library system, and much more.  The Lunch and Learn schedule can always be found on the Postdoc Events page.  And don’t forget that recordings of past Lunch and Learns are available on the Postdoc Resources page
