Pride Month: Events happening around Arizona

Pride Month, celebrated during the month of June brings rainbow flags, glitter and festivities all across the globe, recognizing the LGBTQIA+ community and culture. This is not only a time of celebration but a time for reflection commemorating the Stonewall Uprising, which occurred in June of 1969 and the impact that the LGBTQIA+ community has had since.

While other cities and college campuses hold Pride parades in June, Phoenix and ASU celebrate later in the year when the weather cools down and students return to campus.

The Phoenix Pride Festival will take place October 15-16, 2022 to coincide with National Coming Out Day (October 11).

ASU celebrates Pride Week during the month of April. You can join the fall celebrations for Out@ASU and Trans Awareness Week, with event dates coming soon. In the meantime, here are some events, festivities and celebrations happening around Arizona during the month of June.

Career planning isn’t a one-time decision. It’s a journey that evolves with your goals, values and life circumstances. Understanding how to make good decisions about career is just as important as the decisions themselves. That’s why using tools like Individual Development Plans (IDPs) can be so helpful. They give you the structure to assess, reflect and plan intentionally.
